KFC Logo History
KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken) is an American fast food restaurant chain headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky. KFC was founded by Colonel Harland Sanders in September 24,1952 and it's first franchise was located in North Corbin, Kentucky, United States. At this time KFC has franchises at around 22,621 locations globally, in 150 countries.
KFC first logo was designed by Lippincott & Margulies in 1952. From first logo to the current version, the stylized face of Colonel Sanders is part of every logo. First two versions of KFC logo only had two colors black and white. Third version of KFC logo was designed in 1991, it also had a dark red color besides black and white. Next two versions of logo had blue and beige colors as well along with red, black and white. Current version of KFC logo is in trapeze shape and only contain red, white and black colors.
