Nikon Logo History
Nikon is a Japanese multinational corporation famous for it's cameras with headquarter located in Tokyo. The company was founded on July 25 in 1917. Nikon got it's current name in the 1950s. The first Nikon logo was designed in 1917 and it was an abstract symbol inside the hexagon, this symbol represented the camera lens. Later two versions of Nikon logo featured wordmarks of company in japanese and hexagon figures. In 1953 the new logo was designed which was a simple bold black wordmark of company, it featured a new name "Nikon" of company. In the next version of logo, in 1965 yellow color was introduced for the first time in Nikon logo. The latest version of Nikon logo was designed in 2003, it has yellow background with white stripes, while the brand name is written in bold black font.
