target Event Property
The target Event Property returns the HTML element that has triggered the event.
It is supported by all major browsers.
HTML DOM tagName Property
The HTML DOM tagName Property returns the tag name of the targeted HTML element. The name returned is in uppercase letters.
It is also supported by all major browsers.
JavaScript Code
In this example, whenever HTML element is clicked the function is executed which will display the name of HTML Element.
The target event property will be used to identify the element which is clicked and then the tagName property will return the name of that HTML element.
