In this tutorial we will learn How to Delete Run Command History in Windows 11. Run Command is used in Windows to open the applications whose path is know. By default Run command saves the history of commands that user have typed previously but we can delete these commands by clearing the history of Run Command.

Important Steps
Follow the simple steps given below to Delete Run Command History on your Windows 11 device.
- First, use the Search window to search and open the Run Command.
- You can also use shortcut keys Winkey + R to open the Run Command.
- Now in Run Command, type Regedit and press Enter.
- If a User Account Control dialog box opens to ask for permission then simply click Yes.
- Once Registry Editor is opened, copy and paste the following path on registry editor address bar and press Enter.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\RunMRU
- Now once the path is opened, you will see different names like a b c etc.
- Delete all these names one by one.
- To delete these names simply press right click on each of them and click on Delete, Click on Yes if you are asked to confirm the deletion.
- Note: Don't delete the one named Default.
That's it, the history of your Run Command will be deleted.
