PHP in_array() function
PHP in_array() function examines the array for specified value to check whether it has the value or not.
in_array() function returns either True or False as a result. If the value exists in an array the function will return True. If the value doesn't exist then the function will return False.
<?php
$array = array("Red", "Yellow", "Black", "Orange");
$value = 'Red';
if (in_array($value, $array))
{
echo "Value is Found";
}
else
{
echo "Value is not Found";
}
?>
In above code we have used If else statements with in_array() function. In above example if statement will hold true and "Value is Found" will be printed.
<?php
$array = array("Red", "Yellow", "Black", "Orange");
$value = 'Brown';
if (in_array($value, $array))
{
echo "Value is Found";
}
else
{
echo "Value is not Found";
}
?>
In above example "Value is not Found" will be displayed as output.
