In this tutorial we will learn how to Capitalize First Letter of String with jQuery. To make sure that first letter of string is a capital letter we can use jQuery css() method or attr() method along with CSS text-transform property.

CSS text-transform property
CSS text-transform-property is used to control the capitalization of text.
If text-transform property is set to capitalize, it will convert only the first letter of text to uppercase.
jQuery css() Method
jQuery css() Method sets or returns CSS properties of selected HTML element.
In this example we can use css() Method to set the text-transform property of text to capitalize.

jQuery attr() Method
jQuery attr() Method sets or returns the values of the attributes of HTML tags.
In this example attr() Method is used to set the class of input tag to capitalize it's first letter of string.
