In this example click() method is used to execute a function which will get the text of button tag.
jQuery text() method
jQuery text() method sets or returns the text content of the selected HTML tag.
In this example text() method will return the text of clicked button.

$('#btn') is an id selector used to select the button tag.
$(this) refers to the button which has triggered the click event.
